The amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of pure water one degree Fahrenheit.

Gas Quality Report

A BTU report is obtained from a gas chromatograph and is a report that denotes the various components contained in a gas sample. The report shows the mol % of methane, ethane, propane, butanes (iso- and normal), pentanes (iso- and normal), heavier hydrocarbons (C6+), carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen (N2), gross BTU content (dry), net BTU content, specific gravity, date of sample, and effective date that the quality information applies to the measurement volume.

Mcf is a unit of volume for gas measurement that indicates one-thousand cubic feet. "M" is the Roman Numeral for one-thousand.
